1. Seller and agreement
Aman operates ShadowCursor from Sector 17A, Iffco Chowk, Gurugram, Haryana 122001, India. Email support and grievance contact: Support team, support@shadowcursor.in.
These terms apply to the ShadowCursor website, desktop software, support, and any future prepaid service explicitly offered for sale (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these terms. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If acting for an organisation, you must have authority to do so.
Current availability: the Windows preview is available with your own OpenAI API key. There is no ShadowCursor purchase charge for this download; OpenAI API charges are separate. ShadowCursor sign-in, prepaid credits, and Razorpay checkout are not active. macOS is coming soon.
2. Current Windows app and API costs
The Windows download is a portable preview, not an included AI subscription. You supply an OpenAI API key with access to a supported image-input model and sufficient API billing capacity. The app sends the captures and question you submit directly to OpenAI over HTTPS using that key. OpenAI bills usage to your own account under its terms; ShadowCursor credit cannot pay those charges.
Never enter your API key on this website or send it to support. Protect your PC and key, monitor provider spending, and revoke or replace a compromised key through your provider. The app offers optional encrypted key storage on your Windows account. System requirements and release status appear on the download page. The current development build is unsigned.
3. Permitted use and software licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the software for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these terms and third-party licences included with the software. The ShadowCursor name and original Service materials remain the property of their respective owners. This licence does not transfer ownership or permit you to resell the Service as your own.
Only capture or send content you have permission to share. Follow workplace confidentiality rules, privacy duties, third-party rights, and the acceptable use policy. Do not use the app for unauthorised assistance in assessments or interviews. No invisibility, monitoring bypass, or detection avoidance is promised.
4. AI answers and your content
AI output may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or non-unique. Review and test it before relying on it, including suggested code, financial calculations, and copied text. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice. Website examples and the walkthrough video use predefined sample content and answers; they do not establish live response accuracy or speed.
You retain your rights in your input and remain responsible for having permission to share it. You authorise only the processing needed to fulfil your request, provide requested support, and comply with law. AI output remains subject to applicable law and third-party rights. We do not guarantee ownership, originality, or fitness for a particular purpose.
5. Planned accounts and prepaid credit
These credit provisions apply only after the paid service is made available. A ₹500 payment will add ₹500 of ShadowCursor usage credit; a custom top-up will add the selected whole-rupee amount. Credit represents access to ShadowCursor usage, not a fixed number of questions. Feature usage rates must be disclosed before purchase and use. No paid use will be enabled without a working account, payment verification, and credit ledger.
Credits will be non-transferable and usable only for ShadowCursor. They are not a bank deposit, investment, or general-purpose payment instrument, and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. Unused credit has no scheduled expiry while the account and service remain active. Top up again when the balance is exhausted. There will be no recurring subscription, automatic renewal, or automatic recharge under this model.
Provide accurate account information, keep sign-in details private, and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Google sign-in, when enabled, will provide basic identity information; we will not receive your Google password. Closing an account will end access to its balance; contact support about unresolved transactions before closure. Discontinuation or changes preventing use of paid credit will be addressed with notice and the remedies required by law.
6. Payments, pricing, and digital delivery
Razorpay is the intended payment processor for the future paid service. No live payment is accepted on this website today, and no Razorpay approval or partnership endorsement is implied. The seller remains Aman, operating as ShadowCursor.
Before any payment, checkout must show the product, credit amount, transaction currency, final payable total, applicable taxes or charges, usage rates, and delivery timing. INR is the planned launch currency. Other currencies will be offered only if explicitly supported at checkout. A bank or payment provider may apply separately disclosed conversion charges.
Credit will be issued only after successful payment verification, not on a pending status or browser message alone. Digital delivery and delays are covered by the digital delivery policy. Cancellations, mandatory remedies, and payment errors are covered by the cancellation & refund policy. ShadowCursor does not collect full card details, CVV, UPI PINs, OTPs, or banking passwords.
7. Privacy and local content clearing
The privacy policy describes the current app, the website, and future account/payment records separately. The running Windows app keeps working content in memory and clears captures, submitted questions, and answers within about one hour. Clear local removes working content sooner. Suspension of the device can delay scheduled tasks; clear manually when resuming if needed.
This is local application clearing, not a promise of physical memory erasure or deletion from OpenAI. Imported original files, clipboard contents, manually saved copies, and content held by independent providers are not deleted by Clear local. Keep anything you need separately and do not use the app as a backup.
8. Availability, suspension, and responsibility
Features may change and outages may occur. We will use reasonable care in providing the Service; uninterrupted operation and error-free AI output are not guaranteed. We may restrict access to address fraud, security risks, unlawful use, or a material breach. Where practicable we will explain the reason and offer a support route; urgent risks may require immediate action.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect loss or loss caused by reliance on unreviewed AI output. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer remedies, liability for fraud, or any duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Complaints, applicable law, and updates
For support, privacy, billing, or grievances, contact the Support team at support@shadowcursor.in. Include the issue and relevant reference, without authentication secrets. We review complaints and communicate the outcome by email. If investigation requires more information, we will request it.
Indian law governs these terms. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and competent statutory forums, the courts in Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction. You retain access to remedies available under applicable consumer law.
We may update these terms and will show the update date here. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and do not remove rights already accrued.
