What the planned credit service will include.
A ₹500 top-up will add ₹500 in ShadowCursor usage credit. Custom top-ups will add the selected amount. It will not represent a fixed question count, and will not transfer to an OpenAI account. Usage rates, the final amount including taxes, and activation timing will be disclosed before purchases are enabled.
No subscriptions or automatic top-ups. Planned unused credit has no scheduled expiry while your account and the service remain active. Read the terms and cancellation & refund policy.
What is ShadowCursor?
ShadowCursor is a Windows desktop AI assistant for questions about screen content you choose to capture. Add your own OpenAI API key, capture context, then choose Ask GPT. macOS is coming soon.
What can I ask it?
Draft a reply, find a spreadsheet formula, understand a paragraph, explore a code error, or ask for a learning hint. Website examples and the video use predefined sample answers.
What does the current Windows app cost?
There is no ShadowCursor purchase charge for this download. You need your own OpenAI API key with access and billing enabled. OpenAI bills that usage separately. The app does not use ShadowCursor credits.
Can I buy ₹500 or custom credits?
Not yet. The planned service offers ₹500 and custom one-time top-ups, with no recurring payment and no scheduled expiry while the account and service are active. Accounts, usage rates, and payment integration must be ready before sales open.
How long is my screen content kept?
The Windows app holds working content in memory and clears captures, submitted questions, and answers within about one hour while running. Clear local removes it sooner. OpenAI retention is separate. Imported files, copied text, and content saved elsewhere are not deleted by the app.
What is the refund policy?
No ShadowCursor payments are accepted today. When credit sales open, purchases will be final for change of mind or unused credit, subject to mandatory consumer rights and remedies for duplicate charges, failed delivery, or other confirmed errors.
